Aroma Yoga is a nurturing, multi-sensory practice that combines the therapeutic wisdom of yoga and aromatherapy.
Through gentle movement, mindful breathing and the restorative qualities of essential oils, each session becomes an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with your natural rhythm.

As scent and movement weave together, the nervous system settles, the mind quietens, and the body finds ease - a true harmony of breath, body and soul.

What Is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy uses the distilled essences of plants -essential oils - to support physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing.
These natural compounds can be inhaled, diffused, or applied to the skin (always safely diluted in carrier oils) to calm, uplift or restore balance.

Modern medicine has its roots in these botanical remedies:

  • Aspirin derives from the bark of the birch tree.
  • Digitalis, used for heart conditions, originates from the foxglove.

As a qualified aromatherapist, I create bespoke blends for my clients and classes, tailoring each to mood, season and intention. Every blend is crafted from the highest-quality oils to ensure purity, potency and safety.

What Is Aroma Yoga?

Aroma Yoga brings together two healing traditions - yoga and aromatherapy - into one immersive practice for the senses.

In these sessions, gentle movement, breathwork and meditation are paired with the precise use of essential oils chosen for their emotional and physical benefits.
The combination works synergistically to calm the mind, release tension, and reconnect you to your natural rhythm.

You don’t need to be flexible or experienced in yoga - simply open to slowing down and allowing the practice to unfold through scent, breath and awareness.

What Happens in an Aroma Yoga Session

A typical Aroma Yoga experience includes:

  • Personal consultation to understand your needs and sensitivities.
  • Essential oil selection aligned with the session theme (for example, grounding, renewal or energy).
  • Gentle, mindful movement to awaken circulation and ease tension.
  • Pranayama and breath awareness, enhanced through scent to focus and calm the mind.
  • Restorative postures and Yoga Nidra, allowing the oils’ properties to integrate deeply.
  • Closing reflection with tea and a few moments of quiet, to carry the sense of calm into the rest of your day.

The space is softly lit, beautifully scented, and fully equipped with props, mats and blankets - an oasis of calm within the busyness of everyday life.

  • 60-minute follow-up: £65
    Includes personalised aromatherapy blend for use during and after the session.

Small-Group Aroma Yoga

  • 90-minute session for 3–6 people: £25 per person
    Perfect for friends, family or small wellbeing gatherings.
    Includes aromatherapy samples to take home.

Aroma Yoga Add-On for Retreats or Workshops

  • Add a 45–60-minute Aroma Yoga practice to your retreat, wellness event or corporate session.
  • From £100, tailored to your theme (e.g., seasonal renewal, stress release, grounding).
    Includes bespoke essential oil diffusion and optional mini aromatherapy gifts.

Seasonal Aroma Yoga Workshops

Offered at key points on the Wheel of the Year - Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Balance, Winter Rest.
Each workshop includes:

  • A themed Aroma Yoga sequence
  • Yoga Nidra or guided meditation
  • Seasonal aromatherapy blend to take home
    £35–£40 per person | 2-hour session

Tailored Programmes for Care Homes or Workplaces

Aroma Yoga can be adapted for onsite or seated formats, combining gentle chair yoga, breathwork and aromatherapy.
