Refresh Yoga

Classes Details Main Image
A gently energising yoga class to help you wake up, move well and feel ready for the day ahead.

Refresh Yoga is a steady, uplifting practice designed to wake the body, build a little warmth and help you feel more awake, mobile and prepared for the day ahead.

Rooted in Hatha yoga, the class includes a greater proportion of standing movement, helping to build coordination, strength and confidence in how you move. Somatic awareness is woven throughout, encouraging you to work with your body rather than against it.

The emphasis is on feeling more energised and capable, not pushing yourself or keeping up with anyone else.

Is this the right class for me?

Refresh Yoga is the more energising of the two Yoga for Everybody classes.

If you're looking for a slower, softer practice with more time close to the mat, you may prefer Recharge Yoga. If you'd like a little more lift, movement and momentum while still keeping things accessible and supportive, Refresh Yoga is likely to be a great fit.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions

Answer

Whatever you feel the most comfortable in. Wear clothing that is comfortable to move and stretch in. Materials that breathe and wick away moisture are the most comfortable. Shoes and socks are not worn in class. If you feel uncomfortable without socks then we recommend yoga toe socks which allow you to grip and move your toes properly.

Answers

Yes please. We don't have storage facilities. If you don't have a mat for your first session you could use a folded towel. Once you are committed to regular yoga it would be wise to purchase your own mat - Vicky can help you source one.

Answers

Always make sure that Vicky is aware, before the class, of any injuries or issues so that she can make accommodations in the class. It is important to let Vicky know of any changes since the initial medical forms were completed. Unfortunately the schedules yoga classes are not appropriate during pregnancy.

Answers

Please arrive 5 minutes before class starts so that you can set up and class can commence on time.
