Yoga for Everybody

Classes Details Main Image
Welcoming, supportive yoga classes to help you move, breathe and feel more at home in your body.

Yoga for Everybody is exactly that: yoga for everybody.

Whether you're completely new to yoga, returning after a break, or looking for a practice that feels supportive rather than pressured, these classes are designed to meet you where you are. You don't need to be flexible, fit, experienced or able to "keep up". You're invited to arrive as you are and work with the body you have on the day.

Rooted in Hatha yoga, somatic movement and supportive breathwork, all classes are taught using an adaptive, non-performative approach. You'll be offered options throughout and encouraged to move in a way that feels right for your body, your energy levels and your experience.

The focus is not on achieving a particular shape or performing poses perfectly. Instead, we explore movement, breath and awareness in a way that helps build strength, mobility, confidence and ease over time.

Which class is right for me?

Both classes share the same welcoming, supportive approach. The main difference is the pace, timing and feel of the practice.

Refresh Yoga

Sunday – Reawaken & Prepare

A welcoming Sunday morning class designed to gently wake up the body and mind and help you feel ready for the week ahead.

This is the more energising of the two classes. With more standing movement and a little more lift and momentum, the practice helps build warmth, coordination and clarity while remaining grounded and accessible.

Expect thoughtful movement, clear guidance and a friendly atmosphere where you can move at your own pace.

👉 Best for: feeling more awake, mobile and prepared for the week ahead.

Many students enjoy continuing the Sunday ritual afterwards with coffee and breakfast next door at The Street Bakeshop in The Courtyard. Entirely optional, but a lovely way to finish.

Recharge Yoga

Wednesday – Midweek Recharge

A slower, softer evening class offering space to stretch, ease stiffness and release tension in a calm, supportive way.

Drawing on Hatha yoga, somatic movement and breathwork, this practice invites you to slow down, notice how you're feeling and respond accordingly. There is room for curiosity, ease and the occasional smile.

You'll spend more time closer to the mat, with an emphasis on comfort, awareness and working with the body you have on the day.

👉 Best for: unwinding, releasing tension and finding a sense of calm in the middle of the week.

You'll leave feeling looser, calmer and more comfortable in yourself. A genuine midweek recharge without feeling overstimulated late in the evening.

Still not sure?

There isn't a "right" choice, only the one that feels most suited to your body, your energy levels and what you need right now.

Many students enjoy both classes, using one to gently prepare for the week ahead and the other to pause and recharge in the middle of it.

If you're unsure where to begin, start with the class that feels most comfortable. You can always explore the others as you go.

What both classes have in common

Whichever class you choose, you can expect:

  • a warm, friendly and inclusive atmosphere
  • clear guidance and encouragement to work at your own pace
  • options and adaptations throughout
  • a practice that draws on Hatha yoga, somatic awareness and breathwork
  • a non-performative approach with no pressure to push or achieve
  • support to help you feel more grounded, comfortable and connected

Come as you are

Yoga for Everybody is not about getting it right. It is about making space to move, breathe, notice and reconnect.

Whether you want to start your Sunday feeling more awake and prepared, or ease yourself through the middle of the week with more softness and support, these classes offer a steady, welcoming place to practise.

Benefits

Regular attendance can support you to:

  • feel looser and more comfortable in your body
  • improve mobility, coordination and general strength in a steady, manageable way
  • reduce stiffness and everyday aches from sitting, stress or repetitive movement
  • feel calmer and more settled through simple, accessible breathwork
  • build awareness of how your body moves and what it needs
  • develop a more sustainable, realistic relationship with movement
  • create space in your week to pause, reset and reconnect

The benefits tend to build gradually over time, often showing up as small but meaningful changes in how you move, feel and respond day to day.

Suitability

These classes are designed to be broadly accessible and may suit you if you are:

  • new to yoga and looking for a supportive place to begin
  • returning after time away from movement
  • wanting a class that is not fast-paced or performance-focused
  • managing general stiffness, tension or low-level discomfort
  • looking for a practice that supports both body and nervous system
  • preferring clear guidance with options rather than complex sequences

You are always encouraged to work at your own pace, rest when needed and adapt the practice to suit yourself.

When a different approach might be more helpful

Group classes may not be the best starting point if you are:

  • managing a significant or complex health condition
  • experiencing persistent or acute pain
  • recovering from injury or surgery
  • pregnant or needing a pregnancy-specific class
  • needing more individual support or reassurance

In these situations, a 1:1 yoga session or yoga therapy can offer a more tailored approach, with time to work at your pace and respond more closely to your needs.

If you are unsure, you are very welcome to get in touch and we can work out what would feel most appropriate for you.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions

Answer

Whatever you feel the most comfortable in. Wear clothing that is comfortable to move and stretch in. Materials that breathe and wick away moisture are the most comfortable. Shoes and socks are not worn in class. If you feel uncomfortable without socks then we recommend yoga toe socks which allow you to grip and move your toes properly.

Answers

Yes please. We don't have storage facilities. If you don't have a mat for your first session you could use a folded towel. Once you are committed to regular yoga it would be wise to purchase your own mat - Vicky can help you source one.

Answers

Always make sure that Vicky is aware, before the class, of any injuries or issues so that she can make accommodations in the class. It is important to let Vicky know of any changes since the initial medical forms were completed. Unfortunately the schedules yoga classes are not appropriate during pregnancy.

Answers

Please arrive 5 minutes before class starts so that you can set up and class can commence on time.
